Ray S. Lowe, Senior Pastor
Our pastor, known around our church as "Preacher Ray," has been serving Wolf Pond Baptist Church since 2009. Prior to this, he served as the senior pastor of Bahama Baptist Church in Bahama, NC from 2004-2009.
He received his Bachelor (BS) degree from North Carolina State University, his Master of Divinity(M-Div) degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry (D-Min) degree from Columbia International University Seminary.
Ray is passionate about preaching and teaching from the Bible. He believes that his primary role is to help equip believers to be able to serve the Lord more effectively and to reach their community for Jesus Christ. And nothing thrills him more than to help someone accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
Ray has been married to the former Robin Quesenberry since 1993. Robin served as a youth minister for 27 years before Ray became a pastor, and she is currently teaching high school students at South Point Christian School in Pageland, SC. Robin and Ray have two sons; Jonathan (born in 1995) and Michael (born in 1997).
Ray is also retired from the U.S. Navy. He served on active duty from 1978-1998, primarily on nuclear-powered submarines. Ray retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service.
